DON'T PUT OFF PROCRASTINATION |
Posted: April 10, 2018 |
My relationship with productivity and procrastination over the years has been… complicated. Much like a lot of aspects in my life, I take an all or nothing approach with productivity and procrastination, which I’m doing my best now to balance out. The days I’m in my working zone, I can go on for hours on end, only stopping for the occasional break.
I know I’m not the only one who has done this in their life. I was a procrastinating master during my high school, and college days. Most of the time, I would finish an essay, or an important project days before it was due. Sure, I might have still gotten an A or a B, but the quality of my work could have been much better, and I wouldn’t have had to deal with the stress had I only completed the work earlier. My college days are on standby. I’ve thrust myself into the working world fulltime, and I’ve grown a lot more mature and responsible because of this decision. Today, I hardly delay an assignment or errand in my personal or professional life. I make sure to get it done as soon as possible. This has saved me a ton of stress, and has allowed myself the chance to relax and indulge myself more often. It’s a cheesy saying, but I’ve applied this motto into my life, work hard, play harder. I like to finish all the nitty, gritty work and errands that need to be accomplished in order to allow myself to have fun. Instead, finish all your work as soon as possible, so that you can indulge yourself to the finer things in life, your well-being.
