So you just got engaged and it's time to start planning the wedding? This is a useful guide to the general things you'll need to do when planning a wedding. Good places to search for any wedding vendor is Wedding Wire or The Knot. These sites pool tons of vendor storefronts together in one easy to access place. You'll want to do is decide how big your wedding is. Make a list of all your friends and family uou'll want to invite. Once you have a number of attendees, you'll be able to start narrowing down venue choices. You can also narrow down these choices by deciding if you want an inside or outside wedding. Once you have it narrowed down to a few choices, start making some calls. The next thing you'll want to do is hire a cateror. This can be done in a similar fashion. However, this task is unique becaue you can't taste pictures online, and talking to a vendor on the phone won't tell you if you love their cooking. So once you have your options narrowed down, start visiting caterors and chowing down! Moving on, you'll need music for the wedding. Once you decide if you're looking for wedding bands or wedding DJs, you can start looking through websites to find the right fit. You'll want to look for photos, videos, or mixes that indicate a certain musician is a good fit for you. Furthermore, you'll need a photographer. This one is an easy pick because you can see what their content looks like online. Decide what you're looking for in a wedding photo and begin your search. Narrow it down to a few options and start making some phone calls to see ecactly what their package offers. Finally, you'll need a day of coordinator. This is a vendor you should really meet in person before you book. They will control the flow of the evening. It's important that you and this vendor really vibe and share a similar vision for your big day. All in all, it's important to remember that this should be a fun process and not a stressfull one. Take a deep breath, sit back, and start planning!
